Práctica remunerada en Suiza en el IAS

El International AIDS Society (IAS) es una organizacion leader mundial en campañas de prevención del virus HIV y estan buscando una persona en práctica durante 8 meses, a partir de enero de 2012, en su sede de Ginebra, tuviendo la oportunidad de participar en la XIX Conferencia Internacional sobre el SIDA, en julio de 2012 en Washington D.C.

El becario podrá trabajar a lado de los responsables de los proyectos que lleva la organizacion y colaborará en la organizacion de las siguientes actividades:

- Joint Programme Committee meeting, gennaio 2012

- Abstract Fraud Hunting

- Scientific Programme Committee Meeting (Marathon Meeting) march 2012

Description: Reporting to the Programme Systems Officer and with guidance from the Programme Development Team members, the intern will assist with the day-to-day running of the Programme Development activities around the build-up of the XIX International AIDS Conference (AIDS 2012).

 

The following skills and qualifications are essential:

  • Excellent written and oral English language communication skills;
  • Strong computer skills in the Windows environment (particularly Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook);
  • Ability to work under pressure in an international context;
  • Ability to deal with many tasks simultaneously;
  • Have meticulous attention to detail;
  • At least 2 years university-level studies in social science, international relations or other relevant discipline;
  • Customer service attitude.

 

The following skills and qualifications are advantageous:

• Some experience in organizing conferences, seminars, workshops, meetings, or other events;

• Some experience of working in the field of research and science (especially scientific writing);

• Some exposure to HIV/AIDS prevention, treatment and care issues.

 

Period: From 2 January 2012 – 31 August 2012

Stipend: 1’000CHF / month

 

Only candidates from Switzerland, from an EU/EFTA country or already having a valid Swiss working permit will be considered.
