La misión de ESS es diseñar, construir y operar una instalación de neutrones líder en el mundo de la investigación de materiales. El departamento de comunicaciones de ESS consta de un equipo de tres oficiales de comunicaciones que actualmente reportan directamente al CEO.
La tarea operativa del departamento de comunicación es servir a las necesidades de comunicación interna y el trabajo con la comunicación externa/PR hacia los distintos grupos objetivo dentro de la ciencia, la política, la industria y el público en general, desde una perspectiva europea.
Nuestra propia competencia abarca el periodismo, la prensa y los medios de comunicación, relaciones públicas y presentaciones, gestión de proyectos, la producción, la impresión y producción de medios digitales, de cine y de web, comunicación estratégica y marca.
El desafío estratégico del departamento de comunicación es desarrollar y mantener un programa eficaz de comunicación integrada a la coordinación de todas las herramientas de comunicación, canales, funciones y fuentes dentro de la organización del SEE.
Responsibilidades
- Management responsibility for 3 communication officers;
- Press and PR and publicity material;
- Political liaison;
- Internal Information;
- The ESS Intranet;
- The ESS Webpage;
- The ESS Exhibition;
- The information site for the Steering Committee and the Board;
- Graphic Profile;
- Representation at European, National and Regional meetings;
- Giving presentations about ESS;
- Crisis communication;
- Pro-actively extending the profile of ESS beyond the boundaries of Scandinavia into Europe and addressing the Scientific community.
Requisitos:
We believe that the right person for this position has:
- Good staff management qualities with a solid psychological insight;
- A good knowledge of European science politics and policies;
- An ease in communicating at all levels, including Government ministers;
- A knowledge of European and global large scale facilities and their complex needs with respect to communication;
- Furthermore it is essential that the candidate has a capacity to think outside the box, a creative mind set and the ability to take on a wider more modern way of creating strong links with a European outlook;
- A university education;
- Experience of working in an international environment is essential;
- Excellent oral and written English skills are a prerequisite; knowledge of other European languages would be an advantage;
- A sympathy with scientific topics is an advantage.

The position is permanent with six months initial probationary period.
