The project stems from the idea of a recovery or revitalization of targeted food self-production, recycling and reuse by developing a new idea of voluntary conscious. The project would like to be an effective tool to ensure that individuals and families offer their contribution to environmental protection and at the same time their economic sustainability.Within the project, volunteers will have the opportunity to also follow the activities of Acea Onlus implementing in Ecuador, in the «Cocoa and Huertas», a project aimed at environmental protection of native species of cocoa Huertas.

The main activities that the volunteer must follow:
•Managing a vegetable garden owned by the Association for the study and the self-production of food in collaboration with the local community;
•Organization and realization courses of horticulture and nutrition;
•Creation and participation in socio-cultural activities/Organizing events;
•Implementation activities for the project «Cocoa and huertas»;
•Implementation activities in the «Unesco Week»;
•Updating the website “consumietici.it”, creating articles on environment, food, agriculture and also creating a special section for EVS Volunteers;
•Promot volunteering and its values, supporting the volunteers already present, among Italians young people.

No specific skills will be required, but can be better a basic knowledge of English.
