THE STORY OF HEBA
I volunteered in A Coruña with Ingalicia, and it turned out to be one of the most enriching experiences I’ve ever had. During my time there, I learned how to write European projects, collaborated with organizations across the continent, and even managed a project called Espolitica, carried out with partners from nine different European countries.
Espolitica focused on empowering women and helping them find their voices and opportunities in today’s job market. What impacted me most was working with women from rural areas, where opportunities are often limited. Seeing the real, tangible change the project created made me truly believe in the value and effectiveness of this kind of work. It showed me that these projects aren’t just documents or reports; they genuinely touch people’s lives. I would love to take part in similar initiatives again.

From the moment I arrived, I felt welcomed and supported. The team at Xgali was more than just colleagues; they were a family, and I’m grateful for the lifelong friendships I made there.
I also got the chance to explore the beautiful green region of Galicia. The landscapes, the ocean, the food, and the warmth of the people made every moment unforgettable. I’m truly glad I landed in A Coruña; it would have been a shame to miss such a stunning place
