We are seeking an experienced Administrator to provide support for the Conservation Department. You will use computer programmes and systems to develop, update and maintain our documentation and management systems. You will support staff by tracking departmental information, organising meetings & tours and by undertaking general administrative activities and tasks. You will support the artist interview programme and assist with other Collection Care projects. You must have experience working in an office and a demonstrable ability and enthusiasm for setting up, maintaining and improving efficient administrative systems. You will have excellent attention to detail and very good organisational and planning skills, working well under pressure to meet deadlines. You will be positive and solutions-focused, with good IT skills and experience and effective interpersonal and communications skills.

 

Assistant Curator, Young People’s Programmes

Opportunity type:Fixed-term, Full-time

Working hours:36 hours per week

Period: May – September 2012

Salary:£22,900 per annum

Location:Tate Britain & Tate Modern

Closing date:23 April 2012 at 17:00

You will play a key role in supporting the Convenor and Curator for Young People’s Programmes at Tate Modern and Tate Britain, which will include co-ordinating youth participation projects such as Tate Collective. Importantly, you will provide logistical and project support to young people or youth group leaders.

We are looking for a graduate or equivalent with sound knowledge of Art or relevant work experience. Along with experience of working with social networking sites and experience of supporting young people in learning, you will need to have good administrative and organisational skills alongside the ability to work well under pressure.
